Interested in graduate credit? Tammy teaches two types of graduate-level courses built around her 25 Practices that Matter Most. Provided by Francis Marion University in Florence, South Carolina, these courses may be offered in face-to-face, distance, or hybrid formats. Additionally, districts and schools may contract with Francis Marion for on-site delivery of graduate courses.
Graduate Courses – EDUC 555, EDUC 599, EDUC 635, EDUC 636)
A series of four 3-credit graduate (EDUC 555, EDUC 599, EDUC 635, EDUC 636) courses are available that are designed to guide a deep study and field applications of selected evidence-based practices. The successful student will earn 3 hours of graduate credit for each course that is typically used for graduate program elective credit, credit within an existing graduate degree program, or recertification or licensure credit. These courses may transfer to other institutions, however that decision is ALWAYS made by the receiving institution. Contact your college or university to verify transfer credit.
These courses also may be used for South Carolina’s Add On Certification for Teachers of Children of Poverty. A series of four 3-credit graduate (EDUC 555, EDUC 599, EDUC 635, EDUC 636) courses will, together, meet all requirements for South Carolina’s Add-On Certification for Teachers of Children of Poverty. These courses may transfer to other institutions, however that decision is ALWAYS made by the receiving institution. Contact your college or university to verify transfer credit.

Graduate Professional Development Course – EDPD 525
A professional development graduate course is available that offers a surface study of 25 Practices that Matter Most. It is specifically offered for professional learning purposes. The successful student will earn 3 hours of graduate credit that is typically used for recertification or licensure purposes. This course is offered most summers in the June term in a face-to-face format. Customized graduate level professional development courses may also be available on a contractual basis and delivered in either a distance or hybrid format.
While EDPD 3-graduate credit courses may include similar content to traditional graduate (EDUC) courses, they may NOT be used toward the Add-On Certification for Teachers of Children of Poverty. Courses typically taught in this format are most often used for recertification credit, but rarely will be accepted as transfer credit. It is the responsibility of the student to verify that EDPD courses will meet credit, recertification, or other needs.
